The new Punjab restaurant, Sweets & Bar, has opened at 110-1950 Harvey Ave. in Spall Plaza, between TD Bank and Moore91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Men91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Clothing.
Owned and operated by Baldev Singh, chef Baljinder Singh and Dilpreet Singh, the licensed restaurant has an inviting atmosphere with about 100 tables and separated booths. Baljinder Singh, who was originally trained in India and worked in Italy for many years, has created a large and varied menu of Indian cuisine, including tandoori sizzlers, lamb, chicken, seafood, vegetarian and paneer specialties. Also on the is a large selection of appetizers, biryani, tandoori breads, paranthas, and rice accompaniments. We sampled the fish pakora, butter chicken, kadahi paneer and the most delicious garlic naan. The fish pakora was probably the best we have ever tasted. New Punjab has a large assortment of specialty India sweets and treats and are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

The 2024 Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign has set a new fundraising record of $25,717 in support of JoeAnna's House and an additional $25,717 for Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. The funds raised exceeded the inaugural campaign total by over $8,000. JoeAnna91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s House provides affordable, short-term accommodation for out-of-town families while their loved ones receive care at KGH.

The 33rd Annual Innkeeper91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Gala held at the Hotel Eldorado raised over $100,000 for the KGH Foundation at the annual sold-out event.
