The full Meet Me on Bernard experience is coming to life on Canada Day.
This year, the Downtown Kelowna event started during May long weekend with the 200 block of Bernard Avenue closed to traffic and open to pedestrians. Starting on Canada Day (Saturday, July 1), the closed to traffic portion will extend to the 300 block of Bernard, running from the Sails to Pandosy Street.

Meet Me on Bernard started in 2020 and is an initiative for downtown shops to remain open seven days a week and for restaurants to extend their patios out into the streets.
Many events like Parks Alive, the downtown Kelowna Block Party, Show N Shine, and more will also take place on Bernard Street or Kerry Park throughout the summer.
To set up the extension to the summer-long staple, Bernard Avenue between Water Street and Pandosy Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic on Thursday, June 29.
Meet Me On Bernard runs until Labour Day weekend.
