Car seats made available for Central Okanagan infants

Central Okanagan and Kelowna General Hospital foundations work with United Way to provide 54 infant car seats for needy families.

A unique partnership between the Central Okanagan Foundation and the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation will make it safer for 54 infants to travel in their family vehicles.

As part of the Child Safety Initiative, the two foundations have worked with the The United Way Central and South Okanagan/Similkameen to deliver 54 car seats to the KGH Perinatal Unit this week.

The car seats were distributed across the Central Okanagan with KGH allotted 15.

United Way partner agencies in Lake Country, Kelowna, Summerland, Penticton, Oliver, Keremeos and Princeton received  a total of 84 car seats to distribute to families in need in their communities.

Budget Car and Truck Rental provided the cube van for the deliveries.
