Get those creative brains going for Interior Savings91Ƶ 10th Unplug and Play and Family Literacy Week.

91ƵThis year we are expecting over 300 families to attend. It91Ƶs a great week for families. They get to try something new and at no cost,91Ƶ said Paul Zuurbier, Executive Director of Project Literacy Central Okanagan Society.

The week starts at Parkinson Rec Centre on Jan. 21. The facility will be full of clowns, games, a bouncy house, a magic show, and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Interior Savings will have other free activities throughout the week, including skating, swimming, and library story time.

91ƵWith Interior Savings91Ƶ Unplug and Play and Family Literacy Week now in its 10th year in the Okanagan, we can be proud of the lasting impact made by continuing to encourage people of all ages to take a break from their devices and bring about more balance to their lives,91Ƶ said CEO with Interior Savings, Brian Harris. 91ƵRediscovering the simple joys of reading and playing games together as a family is fun and supports mental and physical well-being.91Ƶ

The Public Health Agency of Canada recommends no screen time for children under two years. Children up to age five should be limited to less than one hour of screen time per day.
