The Royal Canadian Air Cadets will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Ogopogo Squadron in Kelowna on Saturday, June 3.
Of the 243 members of the Ogopogo Squadron, 71 of them will parade in their annual ceremonial review at the KF Centre of Excellence beside the Kelowna International Airport.
The cadets will be demonstrating and presenting displays that they91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™ve created themselves and will display their range of activities. This event completes the cadets91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™ year of training and already, many of them have been invited to summer training, which takes place in various spots across the country.
Saturday91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s event is open to the public.
For those interested in becoming a cadet, the program is for teenagers 12-18 and the new training year begins on Sept. 13. More information can be found on the cadet .
