The Kiwanis Club of the Central Okanagan donated $10,000 to the Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake program on Jan. 15.

A recent fundraiser by the Kiwanis Club of the Central Okanagan raised enough money for the club to help out another local program.

Back in November, Kiwanis held a raffle in which the winner, Kelowna's Linda Stirling, took home two VIP tickets to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Vancouver. In total, $38,500 was raised in the raffle, which goes towards helping children, youth, and young adult programs in the Central Okanagan.

One of the programs Kiwanis donates to every year is the Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake Society. This year, Kiwanis was able to give $10,000 to current Lady of the Lake Anya Sattler. Lady of the Lake President Olivia Solano and Lady in Waiting Eve Russouw were also in attendance for the cheque presentation, which took place on Jan. 15, the same day the Society celebrated their 95th anniversary.
