Want to know the best spots to bring your dog this summer? Have any questions about your furry friend beating the heat? Then look for the regional staff in the brightly coloured shirts around the Central Okanagan..

Nolan and Kaia from the Regional District of the Central Okanagan (RDCO) will be hanging around parks and beaches this summer, all the way from Lake Country to Peachland.

91ƵAs dog ambassadors, it91Ƶs our job to share information and answer questions that dog owners may have,91Ƶ said Nolan. 91ƵTo help, we created a QR code that we carry around with us so residents can quickly access information about dog-friendly parks, beaches and businesses in the region.91Ƶ

It is expected that the pair will be especially helpful for visitors to the region, who may not know the rules and regulations in our local parks and public spaces for pets.

91ƵThe best part of our job is getting to interact with all of the great pets and their owners,91Ƶ says Kaia. 91ƵWe91Ƶve got tasty treats, dog toys, leashes, water bowls and other freebies to reward responsible dog owners and their good boys and girls.91Ƶ

The dog ambassadors will be complimented by dog patrol officers in vehicles and on bikes during extended hours.

Dog owners are also being reminded that there is zero tolerance for unlicensed dogs in the Central Okanagan.
