Westside Multiculturalism Day is seeking out sponsors for its event on June 29.

The one-day event will be held at Memorial Park in West Kelowna and include cultural pavilions and a passport program, 20-minute performances from various groups, and other cultural activities.

Last year, the event saw 20 cultural groups participate and over 1,600 attendees. The organization is hoping to expand in 2024 and is on the hunt for business sponsors.

Event sponsors are asked to provide financial or in-kind support for supplies, like high-visibility jackets, generators, garbage bin rentals, food services, and decorations. Cultural Pavilion sponsors provide financial or in-kind support to a specific cultural group for pamphlets, food samples, and decor. Workshop sponsors and restaurant sponsors are also being sought out.

Organizers are looking for people to donate prizes to go with the passport program. Attendees will travel to each pavilion to fill out their passports and be entered to win a draw prize.

Anyone interested in sponsoring the event and getting some advertising for their business is asked to reach out to the Westbank Museum for more information.
