As close to 100 curlers are set to arrive for the 2025 Brier that starts on Friday, Kelowna is preparing to give them a warm welcome on Thursday, Feb. 27.
Led by the Kelowna Pipe Band, the 'March to the Brier' will start at the Tourism Kelowna building at 4:30 p.m. According to Kelowna Curling Club general manager Jock Tyre, the parade will be around 45 minutes as everyone will walk along the promenade behind the Delta Grand to Rhapsody Plaza.
The event marks the unofficial start to the 2025 Brier, which is happening at Prospera Place from Feb. 28-March 9.
