A record one million voters cast early ballots in B.C. during the six days of advance polls ahead of the 2024 provincial election, and in the North Okanagan, advance voting was up nearly 50 per cent over the 2020 election.
A total of 14,597 people cast early votes in the new Vernon-Lumby riding, according to Elections B.C.
That's a 47 per cent increase over the 9,923 votes that were cast during the advance voting period in Vernon-Monashee in the last provincial election.
