B.C. election candidates from three Central Okanagan ridings met with students on the UBC Okanagan campus, Oct.9.
Those vying for a seat in the Legislative Assembly gathered at the which took place ten days before the final ballots are to be tallied (Oct. 19).

Candidates from the region who showed up to speak with young voters were:

NDP - Loyal Wooldridge
Conservative - Kristina Loewen
Green Party - Bryce Tippe
Independent - Michael Humer
Kelowna-Mission
NDP - Harpreet Badohal
Conservative - Gavin Dew
Independent - Ashley Ramsey
Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream
NDP - Anna Warwick Sears
Conservative - Tara Armstrong
Independent - Kevin Kraft
The candidates were invited to the campus by the UBCO Students' Union, who has made a push to not only educate, but also to encourage students understand that, "every vote matters."
"It felt like there were really good, productive conversations happening, and the biggest issue students brought up was definitely housing affordability," said Evans.
