Rock 91Ƶn91Ƶ rollers, of the toddler variety, will be in for a swimsational adventure when the Bubble Guppies hit the stage at the Cleland Theatre on Sunday.
Nickelodeon91Ƶs Bubble Guppies Live! will feature rockin91Ƶ music, comedic high jinks and will feed off audience participation.
91ƵIt91Ƶs pretty exciting for the kids to see their favourite characters, larger than life,91Ƶ said Veronique Emmett, who plays the character of Nonny in the live theatre show.
The band will be looking for help as one of their members goes missing and the show can91Ƶt go on. With a little assistance from Mr. Grouper and giggly little fish, Molly, Gil, the whole gang will embark on an adventure as they search every corner of their underwater world for their missing friend. The Bubble Guppies will leave no stone left unturned and no bubble left un-popped in order to get the show on the road.
91ƵAs we search for our missing bandmate there will be lots of opportunities for kids to get up, dance and sing-along as we track down clues to try and find our friend,91Ƶ said Emmett.
Emmett, who is a contemporary dancer, said this is the West Coast swing of the show as they make their way across Canada. Other cast members are also professional trained in everything from musical theatre to ballet.
91ƵI got involved because I thought it would be engaging and fun. I really think this is a great show because it is so engaging for the kids. There is not a lot of opportunities for live theatre of this sort for kids. It is a cool environment to watch how excited the kids get interacting with the characters. It is not only the kids that are having fun, the parents all really enjoy it too,91Ƶ said Emmett.
Including a wave of playful characters, energetic song and dance and theatrical magic, Nickelodeon91Ƶs Bubble Guppies Live! Ready to Rock will have kids, parents and grandparents singing and dancing along with this rockin91Ƶ interactive show.
91ƵWe were just in Trail a few days ago and the crowd was so excited you can feel their energy and we just feed off the audience. We are probably having just as much fun onstage each time as the people in the audience,91Ƶ said Emmett.
The show is 70 minutes long with a 15 intermission. It is recommended for ages two to six, but Emmet said it is fun for the whole family.
91ƵThey should be ready to stand up, dance and join us as we look for our bandmate,91Ƶ she said.
Tickets to the Bubble Guppies, who are in Penticton on Feb. 12 and Kelowna Feb. 13, are $26.50 in advance and $30 at the door. Visit to purchase tickets online.
