It91Ƶs not every day you get a chance to enjoy a bourbon tasting with an actor but now is your chance.

Michael Cudlitz, best known for his role as Abraham Ford in 91ƵThe Walking Dead91Ƶ, is coming to West Kelowna winery Crown and Thieves for a unique bourbon tasting.

This opportunity occurred after local filmmaker Norm Coyle met Cudlitz and started talking to him at a recent comic-con event.

91ƵConversations like those always have a life of their own,91Ƶ said Coyne, 91ƵCudlitz started telling me about a speakeasy chain he owns and I was like, this guy has got to meet Jason Parkes.91Ƶ

Parkes is the owner of Crown and Thieves and ever since getting actor Lou Ferrigno to come to the winery almost a year ago, he has playing around with the idea of making this into a series of meet and greets - bringing actors to the Okanagan and meeting fans while enjoying a bourbon or wine tasting.

91ƵNorm and I had already been talking about doing a bourbon tasting with a twist,91Ƶ said Parkes. 91ƵThis was just a perfect connect-the-dots opportunity for us to create a truly unforgettable experience.91Ƶ

The four spirits selected for the tasting include Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, Larceny, and Yellowstone.

Cudlitz is also co-owner of the Red Phone Booth, a 1920s prohibition-era speakeasy experience which has several locations across the United States including Atlanta, Nashville and Miami.

This event is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be found on and are $150 plus tax and include an Cudlitz autographed photo, professional photo op with Cudlitz and bourbon flight.
