There will be two new special guests at The Westbank Country Opry this weekend.

On Jan. 27 Adele Dewar, a New Zealander who came to Canada in 2000 has been a country singer since 1990, she then joined a country trio, and has won many music awards.

She was part of Tennessee Drive and later a duo called Hi Jinks. Since coming to the Okanagan she has been involved with numerous organizations, including the Penticton Peach Festival.

Special guest, Kenn Kardish, started his singing career in Victoria, with his wife Fran. He toured the UK, Alberta and B.C. with the Victoria Police Force. While living in Calgary he spent 13 winters in Arizona, and joined a band called the Desert Coyotes, having many gigs in Apache Junction and Mesa areas.

Come out and support these local country singers on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2 p.m. at the Westbank Emmanuel Church.

There will be a lot of toe tapping as the 5 piece Opry Band brings fun and laughter to the stage. Marty Edwards and Pam Ferens will be there too.

Tickets are $15 at the door, and Food Bank donations are always gratefully accepted.
