The Kelowna Rockets dropped a 4-3 decision to the Vancouver Giants in Langley on Jan. 21.
The loss comes a day after Kelowna beat the Giants 5-2 at Prospera Place.
Rockets rookie Kayden Longley got things started with his third goal of the season at 6:14 of the first period on an assist from Ty Hurley.
The Giants responded 30 seconds later to tie the game 1-1 and then made it 2-1 at 9:32 of the first.
Vancouver91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Tyler Thorpe netted the game-winner at 4:44 of the third.
Kelowna91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Trae Johnson (3) made it 3-2 a minute later with assists going to Ethan Mittlesteadt and Longley.
The Giants restored their two-goal lead when Cameron Schmidt scored an insurance marker at 6:35 of the third.
Kelowna91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Andrew Cristall was held off of the scoresheet, ending his 23-game point streak.
Both teams were 0-3 on the power play and the Rockets outshot the Giants 32-24.
The Rockets91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™ record is now 21-20-2-0.
Tij Igina, who had a four-point night on Friday against the Giants was unavailable for Sunday91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s game.
He is participating in the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Moncton, N.B.
