The actions of officers from four neighbouring RCMP departments are being investigated by the Independent Investigations Office of BC (IIO) after an incident in Lavington June 27.
The police watchdog agency is probing the incident that involved a person suffering serious harm.
The IIO did not release any further details about the incident, but said that RCMP officers from Vernon North Okanagan, Kelowna, Merritt and Kamloops are under investigation.
The IIO investigates any incident that results in serious harm or death where a police officer is involved, whether or not there is any allegation of wrongdoing, to see if police action or inaction played a role in the injury or death.
