Alleged dangerous driver arrested in Kelowna, set to appear in court

A Lower Mainland resident has been charged with flight from a peace officer and dangerous operation after driving dangerously on Thursday, Oct. 24.

Kelowna RCMP arrested 24-year-old Jaskaran Lidder, who is alleged to have fled from police and continued to drive dangerously on several streets including Ethel Street and KLO Road. He was driving a black Ford Escape.

Lidder has remained in custody and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

While Lidder was driving dangerous, officers saw many vehicles having to avoid a collision with the Escape, including a elderly woman who was walking her dog. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is to contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 with file number 2024-62955.
