Celebrate Ukraine in West Kelowna: Independence Day Festival

For 33 years Ukraine has commemorated its most significant national holiday, Independence Day, on Aug. 24. 

It is more than a public holiday, it is a celebration of national identity, pride, and the pursuit of democracy and development. 

The day honours the achievements of past generations and highlights Ukraine's resolute path toward becoming a democratic, independent, and robust state.

At the festival, there will be a vibrant market with a diverse range of vendors, food stalls, and wine tasting (ID required). Kids will have a blast with various games. 

Cozy up for a special free screening of the Ukrainian animated film Stolen Princess (shown without subtitles). The family-friendly event is being held at Grizzli Winery (2550 Boucherie Road). 

Event and movie hosted by Ukraine Harmony Foundation and Film Hive. Sponsored by Ukraine Harmony Foundation, Film Hive, United Way, Bravery Foundation and Sustain Ukraine. Ukrainian Canadian Volunteers Association and KSWU along with other organizations and local vendors joining the event as participants.91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ

The event is dedicated to supporting the recent . All donations will go directly to the Okhmatdyt Fund.

Capacity: Limited to 200 people. Only 100 chairs will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
