A fisherman swept away by the Adams River was found unharmed earlier this month.
On Oct. 1 around 11:15 a.m., police received a call after a fisherman lost his footing and was swept away in the Adams River current, said Chase RCMP Sgt. Barry Kennedy in an Oct. 25 media release.
The fisherman91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s friends said the man wasn91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™t wearing a personal flotation device but was wearing fishing waders, which was of concern, said Kennedy, because if they filled with water the man might not be able to stay afloat.
RCMP received assistance from Shuswap Search and Rescue, responding from Salmon Arm.
By the time police arrived, Kennedy said the fisherman had made it back to shore and was uninjured, hiking to the road to rejoin his friends.
