Motorist claims he was driven off Westside Road

Last week one of our supervisors was driven off the road, on Westside Road by Wilson91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Landing just before Browse road and into a road sign and rock face, causing substantial damage to the vehicle and putting our guy in hospital.

Witnesses and dash camera footage are being sought following a crash that sent a truck into a rock wall.

A pickup went off Westside Road, by Wilson's Landing just before Browse Road Tuesday, Aug. 13 around 4 p.m.

The truck hit a road sign and a cliff face, causing substantial damage to the vehicle and sending the driver to hospital.

"Thankfully he is in recovery and okay, but was very, very lucky," said Julian Wolansky, owner of Alchemy Landscaping, of his staff supervisor driving a company truck.

The driver claims that he was driven off the road, but blacked out before getting a license plate.

"The vehicle that came around the corner in his lane was a black convertible sports car and did not stop after the accident," said Wolansky of the northbound car.

West Kelowna RCMP are investigating, but admit finding video surveillance "has been tricky" as the crash took place where there are no cameras.

If any other motorists were in the area at the time of the crash they are encouraged to call police at 250-768-2880 and submit any dash camera footage.
