Earlier construction work allowed in Peachland due to heat warning

Temperatures over 35 C expected to into next week

The District of Peachland is allowing local construction work to begin earlier due to another heat warning for the region.

From Thursday, Aug. 1 to and including Tuesday, Aug. 6 permitted construction work can begin at 6 a.m. during the week and at 8 a.m. on the weekend to take advantage of cooler morning temperatures. 

The notice be will reassessed on Tuesday.

Environment Canada issued a heat warning on Aug.1 with temperatures over 35 C expected to into next week.
