An estimated 200 people came out to the annual Walk for Alzheimer91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s in Kelowna.
Lead volunteer Guy Bird has been volunteering for the walk for four years. He said it91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s his way of giving back to the society after it supported him and his wife during her 12 year journey with Alzheimer91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s.
Not only did the society have programs to support his wife, but they also had options for him as a caregiver.
Bird offered advice to anyone who finds themselves diagnosed with dementia or who has a loved one diagnosed.

Team Mann Power brought it the largest amount of money fundraising over $8,000 as a team. The team walked in support of mom and grandma Valorie Mann who continues to battle the disease.
Mann and her family led the walk around city park.
The Lion91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Club was on hand to serve food to all attendees.
