1 lane of Harvey Avenue open westbound after semi-truck collides with cyclist

The cyclist was transported to hospital

Harvey Avenue has one lane open westbound in the area.

RCMP are continuing to investigate the scene.

A crash involving a semi-truck and a cyclist is causing traffic delays in Kelowna on Wednesday morning (Dec. 11).

The crash happened around 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Water Street in the westbound lanes. 

Kelowna RCMP Traffic Services remain on scene as they wait for a reconstructionist to arrive.

The cyclist was transported to hospital.

91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵœThe incident is still under investigation and the west bound lane on Harvey Avenue is expected to be closed for sometime," said media relations officer Sgt. Laura Pollock. "Please plan for delays and or an alternate route."

DriveBC is also reminding drivers to slow down in the area, in both directions.
