A $51 million increase in the 10-Year Capital Plan for Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is due to a combination of factors, city council has heard.
These include timing changes for projects, new projects and inflation pressures. The city included $371 million of capital investment for YLW in its 10-Year Capital Plan in the summer.

That amount will still be funded through reserves, borrowing and grants, with no impact on taxation, she added.
Over the next decade, significant investments will be made into the core operations at YLW.
91裸聊视频淭he largest spend is anticipated to be on airside pavement rehab and construction of new airside pavement, along with the terminal expansion and rehabilitation of the existing terminal,91裸聊视频 Dydral said.

Approximately $59 million will be spent on YLW in 2024.
91裸聊视频淭his is because council has previously approved approximately $49 million in spending and the airport will be bringing forward about $9.8 million in capital budget requests as a part of the 2024 preliminary budget deliberations on Thursday (Dec. 7),91裸聊视频 Dyrdal added.
Based on current projections, YLW will need to increase the Airport Improvement Fee to $28 per passenger in 2025, and $31 in 2026.
An additional $23 million will need to be borrowed in 2027-28 to invest $352.3 million in airport improvement fee infrastructure and equipment between now and 2032.
