2 crashes cause congestion on Kelowna roads during evening commute

It91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s unclear if anyone was injured

A multiple-vehicle collision is blocking the northbound lanes of Highway 97 at Leckie Road. 

The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Monday. 

RCMP, BC Ambulance and fire crews are on scene. 

According to witnesses, at least four vehicles were involved and one vehicle will need to be towed.

The incident appears to have been a chain-reaction crash.

It91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s unclear if anyone was injured in the collision. 

Traffic is backed up northbound on Highway 97.

Following the collision at Leckie, a second crash took place just off Highway 97, southbound on Spall Road. 

Emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle crash just before 6 p.m. in the right lane of Spall. 

It91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s unclear what caused the crash, but the incident is causing congestion in the area. 

It is also not known if anyone was injured in this incident.

Firefighters at the scene were signalling to drivers to slow down and watch for on-coming motorists.
