Okanagan Sun stun Prince George at last home game of the season at Apple Bowl

Another runaway win for the Okanagan Sun over the weekend.

They beat the Prince George Kodiaks 73-10 at the Apple Bowl Saturday night (Oct. 7) in their last home game of the season.

A game that included a 28-point third quarter for the home side.

Quarterbacks Hunter Norman and Adam Rocha combined for 399 yards passing, completing 25 of 29 attempts including seven touchdowns, and no interceptions.

Ethan Kiefer led the way for receptions with 124 yards and three touchdowns, followed by Sam Melanson (97 yards/1 TD) and Colby Miletto (76 yards/1 TD) rounding out the top three.

Josiah Haliburton and Kenny Williams contributed a touchdown each.

The Sun91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s rushing game totalled 265 yards with Elelyon Noa making 19 carries for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

Aidan Wiberg made 10 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown.

Prince George quarterback Kyle Cowley was intercepted twice by Sun players.

The Sun is in second place (7-1) in the BC Football Conference with 14 points, behind the Westshore Rebels at 18 points.

The next game for the Okanagan Sun is Saturday, Oct. 14 in Chilliwack against the Valley Huskers.
