RCMP warn of fraudster trying to fake out Kelowna car dealerships

Kelowna RCMP is warning local car dealerships of a potential fraudster.

Recently an employee of a dealership in the 2500 block of Enterprise Way reported to police four attempted frauds by a man who was using different names but had the same photo on four driver91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s licences.

RCMP believes he is using multiple aliases and is also a person of interest in fraud investigations revolving around car dealerships in Castlegar.

Police said the has been linked to several other failed fraud attempts at other car dealerships in Kelowna and Lake Country dating back to 2022.

Anyone with information about the individual is asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2024-1886.
