Speeding motorcycle thief puts public in danger: Kelowna RCMP

An attempt to pull over a stolen motorcycle in Kelowna saw the rider take off and speed down sidewalks, putting the public in danger according to RCMP. 

The bike was stolen from in the north end of the city on Aug. 15. Police used surveillance footage from the area to identify a suspect. On Aug. 19 the motorcycle was seen by an RCMP member and a traffic stop was attempted. That91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s when the rider took off.  

On Aug. 20 the RCMP Target Team spotted a man with the stolen motorcycle on a property in Glenmore and arrested him. 

Three stolen motorcycles, a stolen quad, and a stolen RV trailer with a combined value of $51,000 were recovered. 

A 34 year old man has been released on conditions.
