A woman was pleasantly surprised when a group of girls wished her a happy Valentine's Day while out on a morning walk at a beach in Kelowna.

"I was happily swarmed," said Marilyn Collier.

The six Canyon Falls Middle School girls chose to spend their day off school spreading love at Sarsons Beach Park in Kelowna on the morning of Feb. 14.

After wishing her a Happy Valentine's Day, the girls presented Collier with a chocolate rose.

"What a delightful surprise," said Collier.
