United Way BC is working to build safer and more connected neighbourhoods on the Westside. 

Following the 2023 McDougall Creek wildfire, the organization expanded efforts to support recovery and resilience in West Kelowna.

One initiative is the "Local Love Funds," offering micro grants of up to $1,000. These funds are available for individuals who organize events or projects that promote community connections. The program is part of United Way BC91裸聊视频檚 "Hi Neighbour" initiative.

The organization also focuses on healthy aging, children, youth and families, food security, and poverty reduction. Several provincial services are also available to support residents:

• BC 211 - 24-hour confidential helpline offering resources and support at , or by texting or calling 211;
• iVolunteer.ca - an online platform connecting individuals and nonprofit organizations across BC;
• Racist Incident Hotline - available  or by calling 1-833-457-5463.
