A water main reportedly broke along Bryden Road and Highway 33 in Rutland.
The water began pooling just after 3 p.m., Tuesday.
Drivers were complaining of large puddles on Highway 33, while pedestrians reported water over the sidewalks.
The water has been shut off to Bryden, however, large puddles remain in the area.
Construction along Bryden will be blocking a portion of the road until the water is turned back on.
Black Mountain Irrigation is on scene investigating.
As temperatures begin to dip into the evening, those in the area should exercise caution if travelling along Highway 33.
Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures of -3 C overnight, with a wind chill of -5 C.
