The Okanagan Sun91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s first home game in nearly a month was a 70-0 blow-out of the Prince George Kodiaks on Saturday, Aug. 17.
A 61-yard opening drive, followed by a nine-yard touchdown by Tristen Peddle, got the Sun going early as they put up 37 points in the first half.
The Sun91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Elelyon Noa had an outstanding game with 14 carries for 216-yards and two touchdowns. He also had five receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown.
Rookie Marek Filipek started the game and completed 15 of 19 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns. Liam Kroeger replaced Filipek early in the third quarter and went four of seven for 34 yards. The Sun91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s third quarterback, Marcus Christos, finished the game.
On the defensive side, the Sun held the Kodiaks to 89 yards.
The Sun is 5-and-0 on the season, and with Saturday's tied a record for home wins at 17 games.
Next up for the Sun is the Kamloops Broncos on Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Apple Bowl. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
