Despite being short-handed for approximately 20 minutes in their second game at the BCHL Showcase, the West Kelowna Warriors only gave up one goal to the Brooks Bandits.
The game was over at 4:59 of the first period when Parker Lalonde (10) scored on the power play to give Brooks the 1-0 win.
West Kelowna took 10 penalties over 60 minutes of play, including two double minors for high-sticking. The Bandits were assessed six penalties. Brooks out shot the Warriors 25-22 with West Kelowna goaltender Dawson Labre earning first-star honours for his performance.
The Warriors lost to the Chilliwack Chiefs 5-3 on Oct. 15. West Kelowna is seventh in the Interior Division with a record of 3-5-2-0-0. The Warriors return to Royal Lepage Place on Saturday, Oct. 19 to take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
