A 6.2 earthquake shook northern B.C. and the Yukon early this morning.
There have been no tsunami warnings following the quake that hit at 5:31 a.m. at a depth of 2.2 km and approximately 136 km south west of Whitehorse.
Many residents in Northern B.C. and Whitehorse reported feeling the tremors and there have been several aftershocks registered between 2.5 and 5.2 magnitudes according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
