UPDATE:
Highway 3 now has one lane open for alternating traffic.

A collision has shut down Highway 3 between Hedley and Princeton.
According to witnesses at the scene a car was attempting a u-turn when a motorcycle struck it. The car caught on fire shortly after and it took firefighters almost an hour to extinguish the blaze.
The air ambulance is on site. The person in the car was taken to hospital and the person on the motorcycle is awaiting to be airlifted.
It is not known when the highway will be re-opened.
