The Kelowna Fire Department responded to a fire call at a house on Dall Road in East Kelowna this morning.
Upon arrival on scene just after 5 a.m., the first unit found smoke coming from the attic of a one-storey residential structure. The fire was quickly knocked down by crews. No one was home at the time of the fire.
The fire department responded with three engines, one rescue truck, one tender and one command unit, and 15 fire fighters. RCMP, BC Ambulance Service and Fortis also responded.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Kelowna Fire Department would like to remind people to make sure they have working smoke detectors in their residence.
