Emergency water restrictions ordered for much of Princeton

The areas under restriction are the same properties that are under a boil water advisory.

A significant portion of Princeton is under an emergency order to conserve water, following a mechanical failure at the Memorial Park well, Tuesday, August 27, according to a release from town hall.

The area includes downtown, Allison flats, tunnel area, the Pines, Deblyn and Lynnwood mobile home parks, Eagle Crescent, Deerview, the airport, industrial park, and east Princeton.

These are all areas that are already under the boil water advisory, which was activated after the 2021 flood.

Infrastructure director Jared Thomas and CAO Lyle Thomas were not available to comment.

The release emphasized there should be no sprinkling or watering while the order remains in place.
