The Kelowna RCMP are looking for a female suspect after a man was sprayed with bear spray twice within 20-minutes Wednesday morning in downtown Kelowna.
According to police, the incidents took place around 7:46 a.m. and 8:06 a.m. on Leon Avenue.
The RCMP received a complaint that in the first incident, a female on a bicycle rode down Leon Avenue, bear sprayed a male and rode off.
The second incident was 20 minutes later when the same suspect went behind a business on Leon Avenue and sprayed the same victim again.
No description or age estimation of the female suspect was released.
The male, also not described, was affected by the spray and emergency services personnel were called to assist, but the victim chose not to wait for the ambulance and left the scene. Police located him a short time later and an investigation is ongoing.
Video surveillance has been viewed as police continue their efforts to locate the suspect and determine if the two know each other.
