Missing money?

Police in Kelowna want to return an undisclosed amount of cash, found on a transit bus earlier this week and turned in to the RCMP, to its rightful owner.

On June 1 at 8:52 a.m., the finder walked into the Doyle Avenue detachment and told front counter staff about the find.

The honest finder was a passenger on a transit bus from UBCO to West Kelowna when he or she (the identity of the finder was not disclosed)  found the money. The finder interrupted his or her trip to take the money  to police.

The RCMP are looking to reunite the rightful owner of the cash with the money found.

Anyone claiming the cash will have to provide the exact total of the money found, including the denominations, and the  unique markings on the envelope it was contained in.

If you can prove you are the rightful owner of the found cash, you are asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
