A seized bearing on a lift at Kelowna91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s ski resort forced evacuation of the lift on Jan. 27.
In a post to social media, Big White Ski Resort said a bearing seized in the electric motor of the Black Forest high speed chairlift and an evacuation took place.
The Black Forest lift will be closed for the foreseeable future as replacement parts are needed.
The Black Forest Day Lodge and car park are open.
The skating rink at the resort is also closed due to warmer temperatures.
