A repeat property crime offender has been arrested after a coordinated operation involving the Summerland, Lake Country, Vernon and Kelowna RCMP.
The investigation into Kevin Andrew Brophy, 44, began in September shortly after he moved from the Kootenays to the Kelowna area, said Ryan Watters communications advisor with the Kelowna Police Services.
On October 21, Brophy was arrested while breaking into a secure compound in Kelowna. The RCMP said that Brophy will remain in custody until his next court appearance on Nov. 16.
Over the course of the collaborative investigation, police intercepted and recovered over $500,000 worth of stolen property.

Brophy, is facing multiple charges including break and enter, possession of stolen property over $5,000, theft over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and mischief.
Officers are continuing to investigate other incidents believed to be associated to Brophy.
