Police recovered a missing Mercedes from the Sicamous Channel.

On Sunday, June 18, the owner of the Mercedes convertible reported it had been stolen from a home on Kappel Street, said Sicamous RCMP Sgt. Murray McNeil in a media release.

RCMP later found the vehicle under 10-feet of water at the Kappel Street public boat launch. Video surveillance helped police determine the Mercedes was intentionally driven into the lake.

The car was removed from the channel the morning of June 23 with help from a local diving company and a tow truck.
