The evacuation order for 4355 Jaud Road (Manufactured Home Park) has been recinded.

Residents are now allowed to return. While there is no alert in place for this property, if the situation changes the order may need to be reinstated, says the regional district

Emergency Management BC has new information available for residents to consider when returning to their property after flooding. Some areas of importance include the safety of drinking water, safety regarding electrical and gas utilities, food safety and caution surrounding removal of furniture and building materials ()

The Emergency Operation Centre is working to have assessments done on all properties under evacuation orders, with the goal of returning those properties back to their owners as soon as possible.

The Emergency Social Services Reception Centre at the Salvation Army, 1480 Sutherland Avenue (corner of Burtch Road and Sutherland Avenue) is currently processing the most recent residents put on Evacuation Order from Holiday Park Beachview and Park Place buildings and the Turtle Bay Lodges. It will close at 8 p.m. tonight and re-open at 11 a.m. Monday.

Also, it is recommended that anyone with sandbags already in place should leave them in place even if it appears that stream and water levels are dropping. Conditions and weather can change without notice resulting in a return to high water levels and potential flooding.

Due to washouts and deteriorating road conditions, travel is not recommended on Chute Lake Road.

All previous evacuation orders and alerts continue to be in effect.

Flooding concerns have prompted Central Okanagan Emergency Operations to call for the evacuation of several properties in Kelowna.
