Landslide in Naramata, Feb. 16.

A slide just north of Naramata along Mill Road near Gulch Road was cleared up in about six hours over the weekend.

The road was closed just after noon on Feb. 16 and re-opened at about 6:30 p.m. the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen said in an email.

The Naramata Fire Department and AIM Roads also responded to the slide.

After re-opening, the site was left in the hands of AIM and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

According to those in the area, the slide came down in front of 4365 Mill Road, but the property and those nearby aren't currently impacted by the slide.

"At this time, properties do not require an evacuation alert or order," said Sean Vaisler, RDOS emergency services manager.

If the situation changes the RDOS will provide updates as needed.
