The Emergency Response Team is now preparing to leave Lakeshore Drive. Penticton RCMP will remain on-site.

Three people have been apprehended by the Penticton RCMP.
A robot from the RCMP's Emergency Response Team has entered the Shoreline Hotel on Lakeshore Drive and a drone is flying above the scene. Four officers wearing tactical gear have also entered the motel.

Lakeshore Drive in Penticton is closed as an incident involving the RCMP is unfolding at the Shoreline Motel.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, police could be heard instructing the occupants of the Shoreline Motel to exit with their hands up and that the building was surrounded.
At least one person has been apprehended by police.
The specialized RCMP Emergency Response Team arrived on the scene at approximately 12:40 p.m. The police service's canine units have also responded and RCMP robot has been deployed and is driving around the area.
The situation is actively unfolding.
