Police seeking public assistance after man shot in leg in Penticton

The Penticton RCMP are looking for anyone with information after a man was shot in the leg.

Police were called at around 7 a.m. on June 12, to respond to the shooting in the 100 block of Westhills Drive.

That block contains the street address for the Westhills Aggregates site, and is the border between  Penticton Indian Band land and West Bench.

The victim was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. He is receiving ongoing treatment for a serious injury. 

The investigation is still ongoing, but the shooting appears to be a targeted incident with no identified risk to the public, according to the RCMP. 

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
