Police are seeking witnesses and/or dash cam footage that may assist in an investigation of a fatal collision west of Chase. 

The incident occurred on Kamloops Shuswap Road near Pritchard at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. Police said a white Chevrolet pickup left the road and struck a tree.

"Despite the efforts of Good Samaritans and First Responders, a 27-year-old male from Chase succumbed to his injuries at the scene," said Chase RCMP spokesperson Cst. Sarah Van Wilgenburg in a media release.

A second occupant survived the collision, a 22-year-old man also from Chase. Van Wilgenburg said police have not yet determined the cause of the collision.
