A bus passenger's trip was cut short after the driver requested police assistance in removing an "unruly" individual.

At 2 p.m. on Jan. 20, the Sicamous RCMP were called to a Rider Express bus driver with an unruly passenger onboard, with officers finding an agitated person who was disturbing others on the bus.

"The driver refused to allow the 59 year old passenger who had been picked up in Alberta to continue to their destination in Vancouver," Sgt. Murray McNeil said in a media release.

Officers ensured the passenger left the bus without further incident.
