A fundraising event has brought in more than $630,000 for cancer care in the South Okanagan and Similkameen.
The fourth annual Giving Tuesday Campaign, organized by the South Okanagan Medical Foundation, was held through November. This year, the campaign was to help with the foundation91裸聊视频檚 $10 million oncology campaign.
The fundraiser was launched in 2021 and inspired by Gerry Turchak of Brutus Truck Bodies by Nor-Mar Industries Ltd.
Turchak pledged to match donor contributions to motivate the community in the campaign.
This year91裸聊视频檚 campaign featured donation matching by Brutus Truck Bodies up to $75,000.
More than $630,000 was raised, with more contributions anticipated when postal delays are resolved.

The medical foundation has other fundraisers as well. The foundation recently launched the 19th annual Tree of Dreams campaign.
