A year after shots rang out in Sicamous, the RCMP are still not releasing any details of the murder at the Best Western.
On Feb. 24, 2024 the police responded to a shooting that left one man dead in what Sgt. Murray McNeil said appeared to be a targeted incident. The following day the Southeast Major Crime Unit leading the investigation said they were looking for a black Mercedes G-Wagon seen fleeing the scene, but have released no further information since then.
"I've confirmed the investigation remains open and going," media relations officer Cpl. James Grandy said. "However, there's no update for the public at this time."
The RCMP hasn't released the name of the victim or any information on a possible suspect, nor has there been anything further on the G-Wagon.
Anyone with information regarding the homicide can still contact the Major Crimes Unit information line at 1-877-987-8477.
